The boy I was is once again before me Let him swallow all his fears or take this moment to surrender to affection An embrace unbidden from a soul I long to hold forever I have his medicine in my hand and he is mine A solemn horizon holds my obsolescence A penitent man will pass where authority drifts away Be a friend and partner or sit the fuck down, sir I will lead him til the day he leads me
